Resolved my issue. Registry cleaning tools can damage the Windows registry and cause a range of symptoms include random system hangs.
 
 

Windows 8.1 download freezes free

At first, it works and everything is going well but then soon it shows a loading sign next to the cursor and it then it stops working and is frozen in one place until I restart my laptop and then the problem occurs all over again.

It does not freeze the computer it just freezes the download bar. Was away from keyboard for a half hour and nothing happened. Probably because of servers being over loaded.
